Release & Platforms

Tales of Seikyu reached its full 1.0 launch on June 11, 2026, after a one-year Early Access period that began May 21, 2025. The game is developed by ACE Entertainment and published by Fireshine Games and Logoi Games on PC via Steam.

During Early Access, players experienced the first chapters of Seikyu with farming, fishing, cooking, crafting, boss battles, festivals, and romance. Version 1.0 adds expanded story chapters, new areas, additional heart events, and more yokai transformations.

Console versions for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck optimization are planned but not yet available at 1.0 launch. The developers share updates through Steam news, Discord, and their official website.

Controls

Tales of Seikyu supports both keyboard & mouse and controllers (Xbox and PlayStation layouts). Controls can be remapped in the settings menu. Developers recommend keyboard and mouse for the best experience, though many players prefer controllers for exploration and combat.

ActionKeyboardController
MoveW A S DLeft Stick
Interact / UseE / Left ClickA / Cross
InventoryI / TabY / Triangle
MapMView / Touchpad
SprintLeft ShiftLeft Stick Click
Yokai TransformRRB / R1
Tool SwitchNumber Keys 1–4D-Pad

Controller Tips

  • Use the right stick (not left) to jump quickly through long craft and inventory lists.
  • Quick-cook meal lists only respond to the right stick — the left stick is ignored there.
  • Tooltips for item names on the Request Board and character gift lists appear only with mouse hover.
If both a controller and keyboard are connected, the game may lock the mouse cursor or ignore keyboard input. Unplug your controller temporarily when you need precise mouse tooltips (e.g., Request Board item names or gift preferences).
Open Settings → Controls to remap any binding. Save your layout before starting a long play session.

Codes & Rewards

There are no official cheat codes or console commands that unlock money, items, or story progress in Tales of Seikyu. Searching for "codes" usually refers to cosmetic reward keys distributed through community events — not gameplay cheats.

How to Redeem Official Cosmetic Keys

  • Join the official Tales of Seikyu Discord server.
  • Verify your account and open a support ticket.
  • Request an outfit redemption key (often tied to promotional events or streamer giveaways).
  • In-game, open the redemption / reward menu and enter the key to unlock the cosmetic outfit.

What Codes Do NOT Do

  • Grant unlimited gold or resources
  • Skip story chapters or quests
  • Max romance levels instantly
  • Unlock all yokai forms without playing
Avoid third-party "code generators" or suspicious download links. They are scams and cannot grant in-game progress.
Follow the official Steam page and Discord for legitimate giveaway announcements. Keys are cosmetic only and vary by promotion.

Beginner Guide

Your first days on Seikyu focus on restoring your ancestral farmhouse, meeting villagers, and learning core loops: farm, explore, craft, and socialize. Take your time — the island rewards curiosity over rushing.

Energy management matters early: plan your day around stamina, return home before exhaustion, and cook meals to restore energy. Storage fills quickly — build chests as soon as you can craft them.

Talk to villagers daily when possible. Even brief conversations build familiarity and unlock new dialogue, requests, and heart events later.

Day 1 Checklist

  • Complete the tutorial and meet your sister Koho.
  • Explore the village and talk to every NPC you see.
  • Sleep before midnight to save progress and restore energy.
  • Check the Request Board in town for easy early gold.
  • Pick up foraged items around the farm and forest paths.

Unlocking Farming

  • Speak with Musashi to start the quest "Farming the Wild Way."
  • Musashi sometimes appears in cat form on your farm — do not miss him.
  • You receive a free Watering Can and starter seeds after beginning the quest.
  • Till soil with your hoe, plant seeds, water daily, and harvest when crops mature.

Essential Early Tools

  • Hoe and Watering Can — farming basics
  • Axe and Pickaxe — clear debris and mine ore
  • Fishing Rod — unlock via early story / shop
  • Crafting Table — place at home to unlock recipes
  • Charcoal Kiln — craft after placing the Crafting Table
If you are stuck, check the in-game quest log and visit town during daytime when shops and NPCs are active.

Farming & Crops

Farming is your primary income source. Each season lasts 28 days and supports different crops. Wild forageables also spawn by season — collect them daily for extra gold and crafting materials.

Plant fast-growing crops at the start of each season to maximize profit. Save one of each crop for community requests and gift-giving.

Items & Crafting

Crafting connects farming, mining, and exploration. Your Crafting Table unlocks furniture, tools, processing machines, and storage. Many advanced items require materials from multiple biomes and seasons.

Crafting Tips

  • Check recipe categories — furniture, tools, and machines are separate tabs.
  • Charcoal is needed for many mid-tier recipes; keep a kiln running.
  • Process crops into cooked dishes for higher sell prices and romance gifts.
  • Upgrade tools when materials allow — higher tiers clear nodes faster.
Hoard one stack of wood, stone, and ore. Many villagers request basic materials on the Request Board.

Yokai Forms

As a Fox Clan descendant, you shapeshift into yokai forms to explore Seikyu in ways humans cannot. Each form has unique traversal and utility — mastering them is key to reaching hidden areas and speeding up daily chores.

FormUnlockPrimary Use
BoarEarly story / Fox RuinsCharge through fields; till soil faster
Tengu (Nyotengu form)Story progressionFly over cliffs and reach sky platforms
SlimeFox Ruins explorationSlip through small gaps; reach underwater areas
Water SpiritMid-game questDive for sunken treasures and hidden caves
Fox (default)StartBalanced movement; required for many social events

Yokai Upgrade Tips

  • Upgrade forms at dedicated shrines / upgrade stations as you progress.
  • Boar form saves significant time on large farm plots.
  • Tengu flight has stamina limits — plan routes before long flights.
  • Slime can access Fox Ruins shortcuts between indoor and outdoor maps.
  • Some collectibles and chests are only reachable in yokai form.
When stuck behind a terrain barrier, try switching forms. Seikyu hides many secrets behind form-gated paths.

Map & Locations

Seikyu is a quiet island sanctuary where yokai and humans coexist. The world opens gradually through story chapters, yokai abilities, and seasonal events. Use the in-game map (M) to track discovered areas.

Key NPC Locations (Town)

  • Sasaki — carpenter, often at construction sites
  • Nyotengu — guardian of island skies, shrine area
  • Musashi — farm mentor; check farm and town
  • Hephaestus — blacksmith, forge district
Open the map often after story updates — 1.0 expands the island with new districts and dungeons.

Romance & Characters

Romance is optional but deeply integrated. At version 1.0, six characters are romanceable up to Heart Level 4, each with unique heart events. Give gifts they love, complete personal quests, and speak daily to build rapport.

CharacterRoleGift Tips
NyotenguSky guardianLoves refined gifts; check preferences in social menu

MusashiFarm mentor (cat spirit)Farm crops, fish, homemade dishes
LilianaVillage residentFlowers, sweets, and seasonal items
YohjiTown merchantTrade goods and valuable crafted items
AnnaVillage residentCooking ingredients and cozy gifts

Romance Progression Tips

  • Heart Level 4 unlocks the deepest romance events at 1.0.
  • Check the social / relationship menu for loved, liked, and disliked gifts.
  • Heart events trigger at specific locations and times — visit town often.
  • Some events require minimum story chapter progress.
  • Save before major heart events in case you miss a time window.
Not every friendly NPC is romanceable yet. Characters like Yui may become options in future updates — check patch notes before investing heavily.
Cooking high-quality meals (e.g., Strawberry Shortcake) is a reliable way to raise hearts once recipes are unlocked.

Tier Lists

Community tier lists are subjective and shift with patches. This ranking reflects version 1.0 general consensus for efficiency and early-game value — adjust for your playstyle.

Speedrunners and min-maxers prioritize Turnips and Tomatoes for fast gold. Completionists should grow one of every crop for requests, achievements, and museum-style collections.

Tengu form ranks highest for exploration efficiency; Boar is essential for large-scale farming; Slime becomes more valuable as Fox Ruins expand.

Festivals & Seasons

Seikyu breathes through four seasons — cherry blossoms, summer heat, autumn leaves, and winter snow each change the landscape, crops, and events. Festivals offer mini-games, exclusive items, and romance moments.

SeasonDurationHighlights
SpringDays 1–28Cherry blossom scenery; spring crops; renewal festivals
SummerDays 1–28Summer Festival; fishing contests; hot spring events
AutumnDays 1–28Harvest themes; pumpkin dishes; autumn forage
WinterDays 1–28Snow landscapes; limited outdoor farming; cozy indoor events

Festival Preparation

  • Stockpile gifts before festival days to raise romance quickly.
  • Grow seasonal crops two weeks ahead of festival deadlines.
  • Save energy the day before — festivals have extended activities.
  • Check town bulletin boards for exact festival dates each season.
Missing a festival usually means waiting a full in-game year. Mark your calendar on day 1 of each season.
